Goals are great things. They give us direction, they drive us to change our habits, to grow, to learn. However, when we begin taking things TOO seriously, we begin worrying, we stress ourselves out with SO much to do, and not liking some of the things we feel we *have* to do, it sucks all the fun out of life, doesn't it? It certainly did for me!
I think it's important to remember that even when we achieve one goal, there will always be another goal to set our sights on, there will always be another want, another need, another desire, another dilemma.
Thing is, there is never any final place, ever. Life itself is a journey into creativity. There will always be things to do, to see, to create, people to love, relationships to navigate, wants, desires, needs… you get the idea. So, why should it all have to be so serious so much of the time?
Slow down. Take a deep breath. And even if you don't particularly enjoy what you're doing at present, find some way to make it fun. It can be done! Relax.
